Ariel is a microcosm of the Israeli society. Home to 18,000 residents and another 10,000 students, the city's population includes residents from all walks of life. The city has a diverse population, composed of veteran and young Israelis,English speaking immigrants as well as immigrants from the F.S.U.
The Knesset Aliyah and Klita Committee met in Ariel, confirming the decline in aliyah to Judea and Samaria. According to the Knesset statics department 20% of the Jewish population in Israel are olim, where as out of the 328 thousands Jews that live in Judea and Samaria, only 11% are olim
offering visitors information about the city and its history as well as offering the local residents access to different city services.
